Taman Selera is located at Tanjung Lobang. Just few minutes drive from Miri city center. Its location, which is by the beach. Makes it a great weekend getaway for Mirians. You can go there and have a walk on the beach while enjoying the evening ocean breeze and the beautiful sunset.
All those walking around the beach stuff sure will make you feel hungry and thirsty. Don't worry, there are plenty of stalls here selling foods and drinks. The stalls there opens daily from 4pm - 9pm (i guess).
You have to choose a stall where you wanna order your foods from. Cos all the stalls there are territorial. Means you can't order your foods from stall no. 1 and sit at stall no. 5 area. You will end up kena scold.
I personally recommend you people to pay a visit to stall number 7 if you happen to come here (no, they are not paying me to do this). I have my reason to recommend this stall. And the only reason is their foods is the best among all the stalls there (no offense to the other stalls though).
Plenty of local vegetables and fresh seafood to choose from. And a variety of cooking styles.
Most of the time when you go to the beach, fresh coconut juice is a must have. But unfortunately this time, they ran out of stock. So i had to settle with another refreshing drink - Yeo's Green Tea.
The popular crispy chicken wings. One was not enough, we had to order two pieces for each of us every time we eat here. And you have to be early because stocks are limited.
Tom yam fish head. The sourness and spiciness of this dish left us wanting for more after the 1st taste. Highly recommended.
Midin (is this the correct spelling?) cooked with red wine. This is a very popular vege in Miri. And this green thing can only be found in Sarawak (correct me if I'm wrong).
BBQ fish with sambal. Not much to comment about this. The sambal is nice though.
Clam in soy sauce. The shells was already cut into half by request, so you don't have to open it by yourself (which I'm very sucks at).
This was what left of our foods after just less than 45 minutes. We were like 4 hungry ghosts that night. It was a satisfying dinner overall.
I think i'm spoiling the whole post by posting these 2 pics here. Wth......it's my blog.
Weiwei.. Where is the super macho photo with kites?? Nice leh put it in
